Gene is a  homegrown Charlestonian with deep roots in the  community. Gene enjoys fishing  and paddle boarding on the local waterways. He has worked as a draftsman in the Charleston area for over 30 years and started his own design and drafting business in 2005.  

In 2015, he help start the local chapter of Military Appreciation Day, Inc., a group that supports active duty military troops in the Charleston area.
